The History San José Research Library serves more than a thousand people a year conducting research on San Jose, Santa Clara County, and Silicon Valley. The collection is comprised of donated records from private
individuals, businesses and organizations. Highlights include City of San José and Santa Clara County Records,

History San José has a large photographic collection. A small percentage are featured online as part of Silicon Valley History Online.

How to use the Research Library
Research Library staff responds to requests on a first-come first-served
basis. Most requests can be done for free, however there is a fee for extensive
research and reproduction. Discounts are available to students and
teachers.
