Ralph Rambo seated at his desk, c. 1935.

Ralph Rambo worked at Muirson Label Company from 1916 to 1964; for most of this time, he was the company’s art director.  He sought work at the printing company, he wrote, because “orcharding and farming entailed too much manual labor with too little reward.”
