Sunsweet Apricots, California Prune and Apricot Growers, Inc., July 17, 1920.

The California Prune and Apricot Growers marketed the Sunsweet Brand.  This cooperative brought together small growers from around the state to maximize their presence in the market.  Like the Del Monte brand, the success of the Sunsweet brand prompted the cooperative to adopt this name.
