History Park (in Kelley Park)

GRADE 3 STANDARDS: SS 3.1.1, 3.1.2, 3.3.1, 3.3.2, 3.3.3, 3.5.1; LA Listening & Speaking 1.1, 1.2, 1.3; Math MG 1.1, MR 1.1; Science 5C, 5D, 5E

GRADE 4 STANDARDS: SS 4.1.3, 4.1.5, 4.4.3, 4.4.4, 4.4.5, 4.4.6; Science 6B, 6C

Students explore the agricultural history of the Santa Clara Valley by visiting the Stevens Ranch Fruit Barn. They'll learn about regional geography, ag labor and technology, land use and the canning industry. Activities include weighing fruit, designing a crate/can label, and viewing migrant farm worker houses.

Time: Wednesdays
9:15 a.m. – 10:45 a.m.
& 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Group Size: 20 minimum, 35 maximum
Cost: $120 minimum; $6 per student
Chaperones: Minimum one chaperone for each 10 students.
