 The Immigration Experience
History Park (in Kelley Park)

GRADE 4
STANDARDS: SS 4.4.3, 4.4.4; LA Listening & Speaking 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 2.1a

History Park affords the opportunity for students to experience first-hand the cultures and lifestyles of several groups who have settled in the Valley. A visit may include going to the Chinese American Museum at the Ng Shing Gung Museum, Portuguese Historical Museum at the Imperio, Stevens Ranch Fruit Barn and Santa Ana One Room School House to expose students to the immigration experience, as well as compare and contrast artifacts and traditions of several different cultures.

Time: Tuesday – Friday
9:30 a.m. – 10:45 a.m.
& 11:00 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.
Group Size: 20 minimum, 40 maximum
Cost: $120 minimum; $6 per student
Chaperones: Minimum one (1) chaperone for each 10 students
