Historic Transportation Experience
Standards: SS 2.1.2, 2.2.4; LA Listening & Speaking 1.2
Students will experience transportation of yesteryear when they take a ride on trolley car 168. They will see how wheels made life easier for early San Joséans as they visit the Dashaway Stables and play a lively game of Stagecoach.

A Child's Life in the 1890's
Standards: SS 2.1, 2.4; LA Listening & Speaking 1.3, 1.7
Students will learn about life in a farming community and compare that with urban life today. A discovery-based worksheet will help students learn was life was like for children as they visit buildings such as the Umbarger House, Schoolhouse and Fruit Barn.
