Description
Portrait of three children dressed in festa costumes. From left to right, Victoria Simas as Saint Isabella; Joe Simas as Priest; and Bonita Rose Simas as the Infant of Prague. The Holy Ghost holds a special place in Portuguese Catholicism, and the festa celebrates this devotion. Election of a queen for the festa pays homage to Saint Isabel the Queen of Portugal, a 14th century queen who was sainted for her miracles in feeding the poor.
