Description
A milking machine functions the same as a nursing calf, however it uses pulseation to imitate nursing. The teat cups are the only part of the machine to come in direct contact with the cow and milk and must be kept clean to reduce bacteria and the chance of infection.

When the container was full the milker would carry it by hand and pour the milk into a holding tank. The milk was stored in the holding tank until the milk truck arrived to take the milk from the dairy to the creamery.
