American Dairy Ranch milkers, including Joe Pereira and Frank Pereira. The building on the left is the bunkhouse, on the right is the milking barn. Married workers lived at home and came to the ranch daily for their shifts; unmarried men could live in the bunkhouse.

Frank Azevedo (back row, far left) worked at the dairy from 1932 – 1967. Frank Pereira (back row, third from the left) worked at the dairy before joining the Air Force in WWII. He died in the Pacific in 1945. Manuel Rose (back row, second from the right) worked at the American Dairy Ranch from 1930 – 1968. Joe Pereira (front row, far left) worked at the dairy from 1934 – 1961.
