She was the daughter of Rose Marie Pacheco, wife of Nicolas Bernal of Contra Costa County, and mother of Dionisio, Placido (P.A.), Frank, Ramon, and John Bernal.

She is buried at Oak Hill Memorial Park in San José, California.
