Del Monte Tomato Label, c. 1915

This label shows an early version of the Del Monte shield, an image which would become synonymous with the brand. It was one of the first brand trademarks – or logos – ever developed and has changed very little since its creation. Notice also the seal of the California Fruit Canners Association.
